The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) administers more than 247 million acres of public lands, along with nearly 700 million acres of

subsurface mineral estate located beneath federal, state and private lands. The agency manages hundreds of protected areas including

Cooperative Management and Protection Areas, Historic Sites, National Conservation Areas, National Historic Trails, National Monuments,

National Scenic Trails, Recreation Areas, Wilderness Areas, and Wilderness Study Areas. The Trails are all managed with the National
