We got our tickets and took the shuttle to the far east side of the area, near my first NHL. ... The NHLs we hit were: James Semple House - The design of the 1770 home in Williamsburg is attributed to Thomas Jefferson; future president John Tyler resided here while attending school."

Log Excerpt: "Drove down to and crossed the James, went to Sherwood Forest. This is the beautiful plantation home of John Tyler [House NHL], who lived there after the presidency. Very long (300 foot) frame home. Took a very interesting and informative tour. The grandson of Tyler still lives in the home."
