Home

Home: 816 South Reagan Way [formerly Hennepin Avenue], Dixon IL (Ronald Reagan’s Boyhood Home)

Visited: 5/9/2011

Log Excerpt: "In Dixon we jogged off the LH for just a few blocks to see the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home, where the President lived as a youth beginning in 1920. The 1891 2-story house, in the Queen Anne style, rests on a stone foundation and is topped with a gable roof which was originally covered with cedar shingles. We elected not to wait for a tour but did walk around for photos and to check out the bronze statue in the yard."
