Detailed Models
One of my favorite pastimes is building detailed models, usually primarily wood based, but sometimes in metal or plastic. These can take a year or more to assemble.
Sometimes getting the details just right can be challenging, but it's ultimately very rewarding. Many of the models have a nice parallel to my travels.
