Voyageurs National Park
6/19/2009 Went back down to Ash River VC of Voyageurs NP. Weather overcast with occasional drops. On the way,
checked out a trail at Beaver Pond but it was very squishy with no obvious payoff so back on the road a little to another (accessible) trail
to an okay overlook of Lake Kabetogama. A little more to the VC and got some good park info at the building that used to be a lodge. Walked
down to the lake for great views of this huge lake and park with a gazillion islands. Hordes of boats and/or empty trailers wherever we went.
Out of the park ... East from there to the Rainy Lake VC of Voyageurs. ... At the VC, saw a good film on the park and walked down to the lake
for more views of wooded shore and islands with plenty of boats.
