Big Hole National Battlefield

5/30/1997 Finally made it to Big Hole National Battlefield and Nez Perce NHP (one of many sites) on the Nez Perce Historic Trail. [Big Hole is also on the Lewis and Clark NHT in MT] Saw the visitor center exhibits, then walked the trail to the site where the first battle between the U.S. and Nez Perce took place. Saw the site of the Indian camp and where the soldiers were besieged.
