Assateague Island National Seashore (Maryland, Virginia)

4/10/1998 Up through Berlin and over to Assateague National Seashore [MD]. Drove along the main road, seeing many of the wild horses, some up close to the car. Parked at the end and walked the Dune nature trail, and down to the beautiful beach. On the way back, a horse walked within feet of us.

9/28/1984 Went to the visitor center in Gulf Islands National Park [Seashore][MS] and saw movie about the offshore islands.

8/22/1997 From there down to the Gulf Islands National Seashore [FL]; stopped near Pensacola Beach for a swim in the warm, green/blue water on the white sands (99% quartz). Continued along the barrier island ...
