Homestead National Historical Park
8/2/1994 Drove a short distance to Homestead National Monument. There we saw the site of what is believed to be the first plot granted under the Homestead Act, with a period log cabin and the farm area. Also saw a slide show and museum displays. In the museum was an ironing board the size of a car with rollers and 400 pounds of rocks!
