Niobrara Scenic River

9/14/2006 ... stopped on the banks of the Niobrara National River (canoe launch). ...
9/15/2006 ... Out early; a few miles past the Refuge to Smith Falls State Park. Parked at the office and walked a bit across the Niobrara (also in the NPS area) on a bridge and through the woods to Smith Falls. The highest falls in NE, very pretty but not all that high. Down to the river – very picturesque in the early morning sun.
