Pinelands National Reserve
8/1965 Camping at Bass River State Forest (Pinelands National Reserve). Saw a black snake that crawled under the tent - spooked us for a while.

6/3/2012 ... then headed on zigzag roads to Batsto Village in Pinelands NRes. This is the site of a former (1766-1867)
iron and glass-making industrial center. We pretty much had the place to ourselves and enjoyed walking around the very nice restored village,
with big main house, gristmill, sawmill, farm buildings and many others. We watched for a while at the blacksmith’s shop while an apprentice
worked on some practice pieces.
