Lower East Side Tenement National Historic Site

6/26/2004 Taxi back to the Lower East Side Tenement NHS. Took an excellent tour of the tenement building, with detailed narrative of the families that lived there.

Thomas Cole National Historic Site

9/10/2004 On the road down to Catskill arriving at the Thomas Cole NHS [House NHL] exactly at 10. Waited a few minutes for the first tour – a private one by a nice older woman. Walked around the home of Thomas Cole inside and out – a beautiful Federal style home with outstanding views of the Catskills. Saw the studios still under restoration.
