First Ladies National Historic Site

6/30/2006 ... then continued into Canton and the First Ladies NHS. Jumped on tour which started in the First Ladies Library in a restored bank building. Very good (funny) guide showed dresses of 1st ladies and related good stories. From there over to the Saxton house for a tour of the home of Ida Saxton McKinley. Also good guide in beautiful home log.

James A Garfield National Historic Site

8/22/1998 Headed north to Mentor and the James A. Garfield NHS [NHL]. Looked through the museum, and walked around the grounds to his home, windmill, etc.

William Howard Taft National Historic Site

9/27/1997 Stopped in Cincinnati at the William H. Taft National Historic Site [Alphonso Taft Home NHL], Taft’s birthplace. Had a short tour of a few rooms, and saw the museum displays in the rest.
