Gloria Dei Church National Historic Site
11/2/1996 Back through Phili to Gloria Dei (Old Swedes) Church NHS. This is the oldest church in PA. Quick look around the
pretty (if plain) church and graveyard.

3/15/2014 Heading up more towards Phili proper, we stopped at Gloria Dei Church National Historic Site.
Built in 1697, the church is the oldest in Pennsylvania and contains models of Fogel Grip and Kalmar Nyckel, the first Swedish
ships to arrive in New Sweden. We explored the graveyard and the interior of the small but elegant church.
