Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie National Historical Park

10/27/1994 Drove short distance to marina for Ft. Sumter Tours. Some hot chocolate while waiting, then ferry cruise to Ft. Sumter. Cloudless sky, but cold - sweaters and jackets! Nice ride seeing historic area of Charleston, etc. Spent some time at the fort, then back to marina.

5/17/2003 From there to Sullivan Island and Fort Moultrie. Across the harbor entrance from Fort Sumter, Moultrie served in different incarnations from pre-Revolution through World War II. Walked around the fort, saw a film in the visitor center (this is part of the Fort Sumter NM [and in the SC NHC]).
