Charles Pinckney National Historic Site

5/17/2003 Headed east to Mt. Pleasant to the Charles Pinckney NHS [, also the Snee Farm NHL and in the SC NHC]. CP was, among many other things, a key member of the Constitutional Convention. Saw a good film, looked at some of the exhibits in the house standing where his house was, and walked around the farm area with nice plantings including Magnolias.

Ninety Six National Historic Site

5/18/2003 Headed back into SC to 96 NHS [Ninety-Six and Star Fort NHL and in the SC NHC] ... Saw a film, then walked a mile loop drive around the siege area from the Revolutionary War battle. Saw some reconstructions of fortifications and the actual mounds of a star fortification.
