Amistad National Recreation Area

5/18/2004 On the road a short way to Amistad NRA visitor center for a film, then on to the Amistad Dam. Drove to the middle of the dam to the US/Mexico border. Saw the Rio Grande on one side, the big lake on the other. Heard air cannons going off to scare birds away.

Lake Meredith National Recreation Area

5/23/2002 … then drove down to one of the boat ramps on Lake Meredith (NRA). Lake water very low and only one boat (ramp on high dry ground).
