National Military Parks - Virginia
Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park
9/21/1996 Drove down to Fredericksburg, stopping for coffee on the way. Visited Fredericksburg
Battlefield [in Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania NMP] (NPS) visitor center, at the site where Confederate troops fired on Union soldiers trying to cross the river and attack.

6/22/2013 Continued up to Fredericksburg with the first stop Fredericksburg National Cemetery at the Fredericksburg NB.
This cemetery has a total of 15,243 Civil War interments from local battles, of those, only 2,473 were identified. We walked up the steep slope,
with terraced grave areas, and enjoyed the view from the top of the many headstones in the crowded cemetery.
