Home

Home: Millard Fillmore House NHL, East Aurora, NY

Visited: 7/19/2020

Log Excerpt: "Conveniently though, just a 5-minute walk away (a very sticky 5 minutes - temperatures down but humidity very high) we came to the Millard Fillmore House NHL. Built in 1826, it was until 1830 the residence of the 13th President, subsequently moved twice and significantly altered. Just photos here; I doubt we would have taken the tour of the little place even if not shut down due to the pandemic."

Home

Home: Marker (Hollister House), Buffalo, NY

Visited: 7/20/2020

Log Excerpt: "Millard Fillmore Home. Going in we knew that this home was very long gone, having been replaced by a hotel, but at least having a plaque on the current building. Well, it looked like the face of the building was being repaired or replaced, with all of the outer surface (including plaque) removed! Oh well, a minor fail (but we did photo the building site)."

Gravesite

Gravesite: Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1411 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY

Visited: 8/25/09

Log Excerpt: "... continued to Buffalo. A short jog west brought us to Forest Lawn Cemetery, final resting place of Millard Fillmore. No problem finding the grave using the GPS waypoint. Took the usual photos of the neat and pretty gravesite, in a nice cemetery on a beautiful day."
