Mormon Pioneer National Heritage Area

9/17/2009 Moved on from the GB to the Mormon Pioneer NHA. First stop for this, back east to Fremont Indian SP. On the way had gorp, etc. for lunch. At the park, checked out the nice museum on the Fremont Indians, then hiked a little around the area in gorgeous weather. Headed east toward Capitol Reef, stopping at a historic marker and views of the Nielson Mill, a pioneer mill in the NHA. Capitol Reef National Park

9/18/2009 … then headed into Panguitch and parked in the historic district. This area is in the Mormon Pioneer NHA, but there wasn’t much to see on a stroll around other than some old buildings, and it seemed a little run-down.
