6/21/2013 , then continued to the Yorktown area and picked up the Colonial Parkway Scenic Byway. This was a nice scenic drive, part along the Chesapeake, with impressive brick overpasses.

11/9/2008 Out at 9 on a crisp, beautiful day and arrived [on the George Washington Memorial Parkway (Byway)] at Arlington National Cemetery at 9:25.
Skyline Drive

10/15/2010 We entered the south end of the Skyline Drive (Byway) [and NHL] and Shenandoah NP and headed north. We stopped at the McCormick Gap Overlook for a nice view on a chilly but beautiful morning. Continued to Sawmill Run Overlook for a good view and tried to find the AT crossing but without success. Luckily I had another waypoint right near the McCormick where we parked and walked the trail a little. Back south on the Skyline to where it became the Blue Ridge Parkway (Byway) ...
